My weekly sometimes daily rants about the Philadelphia area and its suburbs (mostly Chester County). Everything from the ignorant and often arrogant Philly fans to the backwards mentality here. Gotta love PA!
So I was rooting for the team I grew up with last year during the Stanley Cup finals and attended two games. I have never been surrounded by such DB's in all my life. Let's start with lack of smarts: HEY PHILLY HOCKEY FANS, it's OFFSIDE, not the plural OFFSIDES which you so often holler.
When the ref makes a bad call, you all yell REF YOU SUCK! That's a great way to get them on your side, oops, sides (idiots).
You trash the cars of press agents covering their teams on the road (real brotherly love).
I remember asking a Flyers fan if he was now rooting for the team that beat them so that they can say that they lost to the eventual champions, and the response was a resounding NO! They want them to burn in hell for beating their beloved Flyers. What a bunch of chooches you Philty fans are.
And who could forget the booing when Towes received the Conn Smyth, or when the Hawks lifted hockey's holy grail. It's sports oldest trophy and the most recognizable. in North America. It's an honour just to have it in the building. But not in the city if unbrotherly love.
Philly fans remind me of a school on the fourth of July....no class!
